The Point

Samurai drank matcha before battle. Shoguns used it as a hangover cure. Yet today, it’s been reduced to a lifestyle accessory. Something got lost along the way.

Matcha got boxed into incense and quiet rooms. Bowls, ceremonies, slow-motion whisk videos—great for Sunday, not for Monday at 8:30 a.m. Most men never picked it up because it didn’t look like something you bring to the office, the gym, or a build site.

That’s not a matcha problem. It’s a branding problem. We’re here to put matcha back where it belongs: in real life.

What We’re Building

Grizzly Leaf is matcha built for work and training: single-ingredient, clean energy, steady focus. No sugar. No flavors. No wellness performance. Scoop, shake, drink. Thirty seconds. Back to work.

Take it into a meeting without explaining yourself. Use it pre-lift without bright labels or gimmicks. Keep it on your desk next to your keyboard and nobody asks for a TED Talk. It’s fuel that works. Daily. Repeatable. Reliable.

We respect the tradition. We’re building the modern use case. Make matcha normal for men who build, lead, ship, and move. That’s the job.

Our Story

We’re two guys from Europe who prefer tools that do their job. We kept seeing matcha treated like a personality test—mood lighting, mantras, yoga blocks—while the rest of us were trying to get things done.

It made us ask a simple question: why can you look normal drinking coffee (or even a cigarette-in-hand espresso) but matcha has to be performed on a yoga mat?

We respect where matcha comes from. We just think it belongs in the real world too—on a work desk (cluttered papers and all), in a travel mug, in a backpack. Make it, drink it, get on with your day.
